Ever heard of Mavrud, Broadleaved Melnik, Dimyat or Rubin? This wine tasting is an introduction to the indigenous grape varieties of Bulgaria. The tasting of 5 wines takes place in an informal and educational environment. The most typical grape variety of each of the 5 wine regions in Bulgaria will be presented. Tasting of 5 wines in a chic and charming urban enoteca in Plovdiv. The tasting is accompanied by appetizers and water. The tasting is led by a wine expert (WSET Advanced Level).

An informative and explorative tasting of the best from each wine region in Bulgaria. The Thracian Valley, The Danubian Plain, The Black Sea Coast, The Rose Valley and The Struma Valley wine regions are represented in this tasting of 5 wines. Tasting takes place in a chic and charming urban enoteca in Plovdiv. The tasting is accompanied by appetizers and water. The tasting is led by a wine expert (WSET Advanced Level).

An insight into the world of Mavrud. Mavrud is an ancient grape variety that is very much part of the Bulgarian culture. Listen to the legends and myths surrounding this grape. Taste 4 Mavrud wines – white, rosé, and red. A visit to Bulgaria, and especially the Plovdiv area, without tasting this wine would be a great shame. Tasting takes place in an old 19th-century house in Plovdiv’s Old Town and is accompanied by Bulgarian cheeses and mineral water.
